Spring Has Sprung!

While we are adjusting and adapting to our new way of life on the farm, one thing has remained, growth. We are growing as we learn new ways to maintain our crops while also keeping our hard working employees safe and distant from one another. We are growing while we envision what our harvest season will look like and brainstorm ways to make it happen safely. Our crops are still growing and entering their beautiful spring plumage. Our spring bees have arrived and are making quick work of our blossoms.

Spring time in the valley is a beautiful time to step out and see all of nature’s growth. We hope to soon be able to venture out again with you all to enjoy the fruits of our labor!

Beilke Farm "School"

Spring break has arrived! For those of us with kiddos at home, we’re getting an extended vacation. If you’re like us and searching for ways to keep the kiddos’ creative juices flowing, here’s a fun project we crafted to keep them busy and learning over the break! We are not focused so much on them gaining more apple knowledge, but more finding new ways to present information they found about apples.

Have fun with it and spread the work out a little each day, or a little every couple days to keep them interested. Make sure to post what you accomplish to our FB page! We would love to see what you all come up with!

Pruning Season

It may be winter, but our hard working team is staying busy getting our orchard pruned and ready for the next season. We heavily prune our trees ever year to keep the fruit low and plentiful. How many of you still have some of your storing apples left?
