The Ripe And Ready list has had some exciting additions this week! Honeycrisp, Ruby Mac, and Golden Delicious Smoothie have been added. Watermelon are also ready to be picked!
Honeycrisp are a sweet, crunchy, delicious apple. Great for eating and baking. These sell out fast every year, so make sure to come soon for this popular apple.
Ruby Mac is a beautiful ruby red apple that has a great crunch and a super fun sweet flavor with a bit of tartness. They are wonderful to add for eating, baking, and applesauce. We especially love to mix them with any sweet apple to bring a complex flavor to our sauces and pies.
Smoothies are an early ripening Golden Delicious. They have all those fun qualities of a Golden Delicious, sweet, crunchy, great for applesauce and pies. They just pop up early so we don’t have to wait until the end of September to start enjoying them.
Watermelon are ripe and wonderful! We have our classic seedless variety again this year for u-pick, and will also have a couple varieties of our seeded pollinators pre-picked at the stand.
Tomatoes, Peppers, and Cucumbers are still plentiful and ready to be picked. The Roma tomatoes are especially plentiful in the Tomato section.
Flowers are looking lovely and available for u-pick as well as beautiful bouquets at the stand on weekends.
Pumpkins and Sunflowers should be ready in about two weeks.
