Pumpkins Galore and The Largest Apple Contest

The weather is beautiful this weekend and we have a lot of fun activities to get outside and enjoy!

Start with the Pumpkin Patch. Rescue a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch to take home and carve! We have a huge selection of carving and decorative pumpkins to find! We tripled the amount of Pumpkins we grew this year to ensure we have an abundance of choices to choose from, so you are sure to find the perfect Pumpkin. 

It is officially October! Which means, for the seventh year, it is time for our Largest Apple Contest! This year we will have a winner every week in the month of October! We will announce the winner of the week every Monday starting on October 5th. The contest winner every week will receive TWO FREE BUCKETS OF U-PICK APPLES! The contest is judged by weight of the apple and the apple has to have been found in our orchard. We have a scale at the stand so make sure to stop and have your largest apple recorded to be entered to win the weekly prize! We will record the size of your apple, and your contact information so we can call the winner and let them know they won.

Next, grab a map and take the Self-guided Orchard Tour! Our self-guided tour is set up and starts at the mailbox by the Apple stand. Grab a map and find eight stations in the orchard and read the informational graphic signs to learn about the steps we take throughout the year to keep our orchard healthy.

Fourth, head out to the Tomato and Pepper picking rows and grab some tomatoes. They are plentiful now and will be ready to be picked until the first frost.

Finally, take a stroll through the Sunflower Maze.  Our sunflower maze is in its home stretch of blooming. Make sure to take a stroll through the maze before the blooms start falling. After you stroll, check out the u-pick flower rows. 

Parking is free and we do NOT charge admission. We are excited to have some fun with you all this weekend on the farm!

Fuji and Braeburn Are Ready

What an exciting morning we had as we tested our fall apples—and guess what? Two varieties are ready for you to enjoy! Fuji, and Braeburn are the first of our storage apples to ripen this season, and you won’t want to miss out!
Let’s start with the Fuji apple, a favorite known for its irresistibly sweet and crunchy flavor. These apples are incredibly versatile—perfect for snacking, baking, or making delicious applesauce. Plus, they’re the first storage apple of the year! When stored properly, they can last an impressive 3 to 6 months. Last year, we sold out in just over a week, so make sure you seize the opportunity to grab some Fuji while you can!
Next up is the Braeburn! This sweet and crunchy apple is a must-try for both eating fresh and baking. With its delightful flavor and great storage qualities, it’s a fantastic addition to your fall apple lineup.
The Pumpkin Patch is looking wonderful. Whether you’re looking for the perfect pumpkin for carving, decorating, or baking, we have a fantastic selection waiting for you.

Pumpkins, Apples, and Tomatoes, Oh My!

The Sunshine returns this weekend! A perfect time to come enjoy the ever expanding Ripe and Ready list. This week we have 8 different varieties of Apples to choose from. 
Pumpkins are ready to be found in the patch! We have been thrilled to see the giant stems on our carving pumpkins, and the color coming out of our decorative patch are so exciting! Mini pumpkins, baking pumpkins, and gourds are all available at the stand as well as in the field.
Tomatoes are doing fantastic. Peppers are doing great also, with a plentiful amount of Jalapenos ready to be picked. 
Watermelon in the field are done for the season. We have a few still available at the stand for we-pick. 
The Sunflower Maze and U-pick Flowers are still going strong! The maze will last for a couple more weeks. Make sure to take a stroll after you are done picking your Apples.
