All Varieties Now Ripe And Ready!

We have hit that wonderful part of the season where, no matter which apple you find in the orchard, it is guaranteed to be ripe and ready! This means you can explore different rows you have never been down and not have to worry if the apples you find are ripe for picking or not. It is the perfect time to grab a map and try our new Self-Guided Orchard Tour! It will weave you through the orchard finding stops along the way with facts about our orchard. While you are on the tour, try a new apple you find! There are 9 varieties to choose from still, so get adventurous!

The frost is coming this weekend and that will mean an end to our tomato season. We still have some romas left, but they will be done on Monday. So if you are still wanting them, I wouldn't wait. Come and get them before the frost does!

Pumpkins are just about sold out!! We have brought all the pumpkins that were left up to the stand for those that still need one. They are medium to small size but can definitely still make a great carving pumpkin.

Granny Smith and Goldrush Now ready!

Just now ready, Heart warming Granny Smith Apples. Remember sitting in front of the fireplace on a cold November evening with a warm Granny Smith Apple pie on your plate. You look around the room and each family and friend are savoring their pie, as they pause to reminisce about their family history and fun times.
Or if you don't recall that ever happening, you could start now and make those memories (in small groups of course). So, this is your challenge to start making those memories.
Your first action is to visit Beilke Family Farm in Downtown Brooks, Oregon. Take a walk in our Apple orchard that is actually just a hedgerow of apples, where you can just walk up and pick them. Pick a nice day, come and enjoy the fresh country air, no extra charge. Bring your  kids or grandkids and make a fun afternoon of it all.
There are some newer upstart varieties that are giving Granny Smith a run for their money. That would be Cripps Pink, yes they are pink, great storing apple, all around cooking and eating. Also, Gold Rush. Whomever tries this apple comes back for more. Great for salads, as they don't brown up like most apples, also great for cider and cooking. Don't forget Braeburn, juicy eating and cooking.
And Rome Beauty, beautiful red apple great for all cooking.
Come start your journey of making your memories.
Free parking, no entrance fee, incredibly low price on the apples. Cash and credit cards accepted.
Also, we have Roma Tomatoes and a Pumpkin Patch.

We also still have our Largest Apple Contest going! A new winner every Monday will receive TWO FREE BUCKETS OF APPLES! Last weeks winning apple was 1.18 pounds! Can you find this weeks largest apple?

See you soon!

No Reservation Needed

We have been fielding a lot of questions regarding what to expect when visiting the orchard this year so we thought we would answer them all here!

These are the answers to the most frequently asked questions:

-You do not need a reservation to come out to the orchard and pick! Our orchard has lots of room and our rows are 14 feet apart which leaves plenty of room for everyone to socially distance themselves.
-We do not charge for entrance or parking!
-We charge $14 for a full 5-gallon u-pick bucket of apples.
-We have enhanced our sanitizing this year and every bucket and wagon is sanitized between each customer to ensure a safe visit.
-We have a shield at our stand where you can pay to keep a barrier between you and our cashier.
-We have contactless pay for those using card.

It has been such an amazing season, and we have been so excited to see so many people enjoying our orchard. We are just now seeing our late season apples beginning to ripen and we still have some of our early season apples, so now would be a great time to come out and have a huge variety to choose from!

Cripps Pink and Braeburn are now added to the Ripe And Ready list! Cripps Pink are a great sweet-tart apple that work well for just about everything. Braeburn is also a sweet-tart apple that is very versatile. Both of these apples, as well as Rome and Fuji that are also ready, can be stored to last several months. The best way to store apples is in a cool, dark place. If you don't have a root cellar, don't worry we don't either, a box in the garage where the light from a window won't hit it is perfect. Even a garage fridge would do, but make sure to monitor the moisture.

We still have a LOT of Romas ready to be picked! The slicers are done for the season due to the rain and splitting, but the romas will last until we get our first frost. They are $1 per pound.

We still have plenty of pumpkins for those that are still on the hunt. We have small, medium, and carving sized orange pumpkins left. They are 35 cents per pound.
